The mission of the Southern Tier Home Builders & Remodelers Association (STHBRA) is to foster professionalism through an organized group of ethical members that include: builders, remodelers and associated businesses, and to promote and enhance the benefits of home ownership and serve as a trusted resource for consumers.
The STHBRA is a not for profit organization chartered in 1949 and is affiliated with the New York State Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
The Southern Tier Home Builders and Remodelers Association is the voice of the building and remodeling industry in south central New York. The Association represents the diversified builder and related professionals. As "citizens who build," the Association strives to:
* enhance the community's quality of life * build a positive business environment * advocate home ownership * promote affordable housing * encourage sensible growth and development of the community, its resources and economy The Association provides services to its members which enables them to maintain high standards in all aspects of their businesses. Some of these services include education, new product awareness and influencing the legislative and regulatory processes which affect them. STHBRA is a not-for-profit, professional trade association chartered in 1957, affiliated with the New York Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. They currently have over 200 members. In addition to member services and general community support, the Association strives to educate the public in building related issues. Typical among those issues is a recently passed New York State law regarding remodeling and home improvement contracts. As a service to the general public the Association also has available a grievance and complaint mediation process between customers and members. |
