"There's No Place Like Home" was the 2007 theme for Home Show held at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Binghamton. This year saw the highest attendance we've ever had and booth space was SOLD OUT! One of the highlights of the weekend was our Opening Ceremony with distinguished guests-Senator Tom Libous, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Mayor Matt Ryan and from the Broome County Executive's Office, Pat Brennan. Our very own Executive Officer, CJ Bowe, sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to begin the ceremony as we kicked off Home Show 2007-"There's No Place Like Home". Many vendors decorated their booths and themselves using The Wizard of Oz theme (check out the variety of Dorothys). A new feature this year was a partnership with Aging Futures for educational seminars and the promotion of "Universal Design". Our charity for the show was CHOW and over 1,980 pounds of canned goods were collected. Home Show 2007 was a huge success!!! Plans have already begun for Home Show 2008 so stay tuned.
